About Amanda

Amanda C. Gunling in concert hall

Amanda K. Gundling has spent over 17 years shaping the musical lives of choirs and singers throughout the Hudson Valley and Long Island. An educator, musician, and entrepreneur, her work brings together mission-driven artistry, intentional repertoire, healthy vocal technique, and the belief that choral music thrives in community.

At Scarsdale High School, Amanda directs the Treble, Chamber, and Concert Choirs and teaches AT Music Theory. She is also the Founder & Artistic Director of the Westchester Children's Chorus, established in 2015 to expand high-quality choral experiences for young singers across Westchester County.

Amanda's leadership includes conducting multiple All-County and Area All State ensembles, presenting at state conferences, like the 2025 NYSSMA All-State Conference and workshopping with fellow arts organizations to help in their development and growth.

A dedicated performer, she appears regularly as a soloist in local temples and churches, and recently debuted her first solo concert program. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Syracuse University and a Master's in Music Education from New York University.
